Today’s meditation features the beautiful sound of the shofar, or ram’s horn, in honor of Rosh Hashanah. During this two-day Jewish holiday, the start of the High Holy Days, it is considered a mitzvah, or commandment, to hear the blowing of the shofar as a literal and spiritual wake-up call.
